The dancing procession is a religious procession that takes place every year on the Tuesday after Pentecost in Echternach in Luxembourg. The participants "jump" to polka tunes in rows along the streets of Echternach to the grave of St. Willibrord in Echternach Basilica.
The UNESCO has it at their meeting on 16th November 2010 in Nairobi list of Masterpieces of the Oral and added intangible heritage of humanity .
The current form of the dancing procession goes to the 19th Century. However, sources can be traced back their origin to the late Middle Ages.
